It’s the wipeouts in life that teach us how to surf! Knowing where to be and where not to be. Either way nature teaches us. Sometimes we learn the lesson from surfing other times from suffering. ? It’s the wipeouts in life that teach us how to be better surfers. Sometimes we have no control over what comes our way but we have a choice when to paddle like mad or to pull back and discern. This comes from feeling it. Hesitation and the what ifs can be what causes you to wipe out in my experience. The goal isn’t never to wipe out but to learn what caused it in the first place. Our mind is just like the ocean. Having lessons in how to surf its fluctuations, to get a feel of when to just sit and wait (Patience) or when to go for it, commit and take action can be a very helpful skill. Like surfing, mindfulness meditation teaches you about nature and life.
