Using Yoga Props to Free up tension in the neck

A great practice for when you feel like you’ve got the weight of the world on your shoulders So often in head stands without correct alignment there can be pressure on the neck. I love supporting students with different ways to take the pressure off. This is also a great option to work with building strength and sensitivity in going up and coming down slowly. It also helps you become more aware of the natural orientation of your shoulder joints, proportion and most of all sensation & breath. When we find ways to support the freeing up of tension there is more steadiness and ease. These two qualities create alignment in yoga and in life. Namaste Tammy xox
